Every Story Has a Beginning

Long before founder films, winery stories, and artisan brands became the focus of my work, I spent years documenting adventures, remarkable people, and products built with purpose. Looking back, these projects reveal something I didn't fully appreciate at the time. The stories were never really about vehicles, wineries, or expeditions. They were always about the people behind them.

Where It All Began

Winery Event Story

Every story starts somewhere.

Long before founder films and brand storytelling became the heart of my work, I spent countless weekends at Martin Ranch Winery documenting the moments that made people fall in love with the experience. This early film follows one of the winery's annual "Bottle Your Own" events, where guests rolled up their sleeves, filled bottles by hand, shared conversations, and became part of the winemaking process.

Filmed with a single camera, available light, and no script, it captures something I've come to value even more over the years, that authentic moments will always be more memorable than perfect ones.

The Rhythm of the Harvest

Winery Production Story

Great wine depends on more than vineyards and barrels.

It also depends on the quiet teamwork that unfolds on bottling day, where dozens of small tasks come together with remarkable precision. This film follows the organized rhythm of a mobile bottling line, capturing the people, movement, and shared purpose behind one of the busiest days in the life of a winery.

Rather than focusing on the machinery, it celebrates the dedication of the team whose work ensures that every bottle is ready to find its way to someone's table.

Where Adventure Meets Innovation

Brand Story Film

Some products aren't truly tested until they're pushed to their limits.

Filmed outside Tuktoyaktuk on the frozen Beaufort Sea, this story follows a field test where extreme cold, relentless wind, and unforgiving ice became part of the production. Rather than creating a traditional product demonstration, the film documents real people working through real conditions, revealing the ingenuity and confidence behind equipment designed for places few will ever experience.

It's a reminder that the most compelling stories aren't staged, they're earned.

At the Edge of the World

Expedition Documentary

Some journeys change more than your location.

They change the way you see the world.

Traveling alongside the Expeditions West team, the journey became an opportunity document a 24-day, 8,000-mile expedition from Prescott, Arizona to Tuktoyaktuk, traveling north through Alaska, the Yukon, and along the legendary Mackenzie River ice road to the edge of the Arctic Ocean. What began as an adventure became an opportunity to document extraordinary landscapes, resilient communities, and the quiet beauty found in one of the most remote places on Earth.

The journey concluded in Tuktoyaktuk, where an Inuit family welcomed us into their home and shared stories that became the true destination of the expedition. More than a film about reaching the Arctic, it's a reminder that the most memorable journeys are defined by the people you meet along the way.

Where Trust Leads the Way

Expedition Documentary

Long before snowmobiles and highways, the North was traveled one trail at a time.

Near Inuvik in Canada's Northwest Territories, this documentary follows a day on the tundra with a team of experienced mushers and their remarkable dogs. Through frozen forests, open snowfields, and temperatures nearing –30°F, the journey reveals a partnership built on trust, instinct, and generations of shared experience.

More than an adventure, it's a glimpse into a way of life where the landscape sets the pace and every mile depends on the quiet understanding between people, animals, and the wilderness they call home..

Where Limits Are Tested

Expedition Documentary

Every great idea eventually meets its toughest test.

On California's legendary Rubicon Trail, this documentary follows the EarthRoamer XV-JP as it tackles one of America's most demanding off-road routes. Massive granite slabs, narrow passages, and unforgiving terrain became more than obstacles—they became proof that thoughtful engineering, careful preparation, and experienced drivers could accomplish what many believed impossible.

More than an off-road adventure, it's the story of innovation earning its credibility one mile at a time.

Crafted to Last

Product Story

The best products rarely call attention to themselves.

They simply work, year after year, because someone cared enough to build them the right way. This short film tells the story behind Wagon Gears' tailgate lid for the Toyota 80 Series Land Cruiser, highlighting the thoughtful engineering, precision fabrication, and uncompromising craftsmanship that transformed a practical accessory into something owners could rely on for years of adventure.

More than a product demonstration, it's a celebration of the makers who believe that quality is found in the details most people never see.

Where Adventure Builds Community

Event Documentary

Some of the best adventures are measured not in miles, but in the people you meet along the way.

Filmed during the annual Surf and Turf gathering at California's Pismo Beach, this documentary captures a weekend where Land Cruiser enthusiasts came together to share stories, explore the dunes, and celebrate a passion that extended far beyond their vehicles. From beach camps and trail rides to friendly competitions and evenings around the fire, the event revealed a community built on generosity, craftsmanship, and a shared love of adventure.

More than an off-road gathering, it's a reminder that the strongest communities are often built around common passions and unforgettable experiences.

Every Experience Leads to the Next Story

The projects on this page represent decades of learning across branding, design, photography, and digital experiences. Today, those skills come together in a different way—helping founders, artisans, and small businesses tell stories that feel genuine, personal, and lasting.
